The issue has been resolved, we have not received any more calls with problems.

The issue should now be resolved, we will continue to monitor the situation.

 

Telephone Services is working on fixing an issue with some people not being able to call off-campus numbers.

Networking is working to address a network issue caused by a power blip affecting a remote site, CETC.

Wired, wireless Internet and telephones are affected.

 Windows/Linux Server Patching – Fri June 27 5:30pm – 9:30pm

Updates have been applied successfully

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows and Linux servers. There will be brief disruptions to:

  • TritonApps sessions
  • Unix home directories
  • Print and fax services
  • SharePoint sites
  • WWW sites
  • UMSL Blogs and other WordPress blogs
  • Library databases
  • Web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 Woods Hall Network Upgrade – Sunday June 22

Update 12:30pm 6/22/25

The upgrade is taking longer than anticipated. The majority of users should have connectivity now. The upgrade is estimated to be complete by 2:00pm 6/22/25.

 

 

Information Technology Services (ITS) is upgrading the Woods Hall network switch on Sunday, June 22. The upgrade is scheduled from 7:00 am to noon.

 

During this upgrade:

  • Computers and phones in Woods Hall will not be able to connect to the network (both wired and WiFi will be unavailable)
  • University phones in Woods Hall will not be able to make or receive phone calls.

This switch upgrade strengthens the resiliency of our UMSL network in Woods Hall and reflects our commitment to modernizing campus infrastructure.

MetroLink canceled this work without notice.

MetroLink Optical Technicians will be performing scheduled fiber maintenance on UMSL’s south Internet path.  Disruption is not expected as traffic will re-route through UMSL’s north Internet path.
