Networking will be upgrading the software on equipment located in the following buildings.

All network and Telephone service will be unavailable during the reboot. (approx. 10 – 15 min.)

 Student Network Outage

Description

Students in the dorms were experiencing problems getting to internal sites as well as problems connecting game systems to the network.

The issue has been resolved.

 UMSL service outages

Description

We are experiencing an unexpected service outage due to an unresponsive network device.  WWW, web applications and Oracle applications are primarily affected.  ITS is working to resolve the issue.

 Unscheduled maintenance – Remote Sites – 01/19/2018

Start Time: 1/19/18 5:00 am - End Time: 1/18/18 11:00 am

Description

Network need to make changes at the following remote sites:

  • Optometry Center on Lindell
  • Children’s Advocacy center at west pine
  • Children’s Advocacy center at Kirkwood

These changes will cause all internet and telephone services to be unavailable for approximately 5 minutes.

 Network Maintenance Wellness Center – Sunday 7:00 am –

Description

Networking will be upgrading the software on the network switches to fix a know bug affecting the wireless network.  All network and telephone services will be unavailable during the reboot, which will take about 15 minutes.

 Fine Arts Building – Network upgrade

 Network Access Control Server

Description

On Monday 11/20/17, ITS will be upgrading Bradford, our network access control server.
Access to Tritonnet and new system registrations could be affected during this time.

 SSB 4th Floor Network Outage

Description

Due to an electrical issue there was a brief network outage on the fourth floor of SSB, currently service has been restored.  ITS in investigating the cause.

UPS needs to be replaced.
