 Scheduled Network Maintenance – Stadler Hall – 11/8/2026 – 6 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon)

Description

The Networking Team will be performing scheduled maintenance in the Stadler Hall data room on Sunday, November 8, 2026.

Maintenance Window:

  • Start: Sunday, November 8 at 6:00 AM
  • Completion: No later than Monday, November 9 at 12:00 PM (Noon)

Expected Impact:

During this maintenance window, all network services in Stadler Hall will be unavailable. This includes:

  • Wired network access
  • Wireless network access (Wi-Fi)
  • Telephone services

All affected services will remain unavailable until the maintenance is complete.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we perform this necessary maintenance.

 Fine Arts Building is being affected by Ameren’s power outages in the area, June 11th 3pm

Description

Update: 6/11/26 5pm Power has been restored by Ameren and Internet and Phone services is back for Fine Arts Building

 

There is a power disruption on campus due to Ameren causing network and telephone problems, facilities is monitoring the situation.

 Phone system outage

Description

Update:

Phone services were restored shortly before 3:00am.

 

UMSL phones are down. ITS is investigating with AT&T. Campus Police can be reached at 314-516-5155 via cell or off-campus phones.

The issue with the network at the West County/Flushing Meadows location has been resolved.

The network at our West County/Flushing Meadows location is currently down. This affects all computer networking and telephone service in that location.

 Campus Telephone System Updates – rendering each number unavailable for 5 minutes Friday morning

Description

UPDATE:
All work on the Telephone system is complete.

Telephone services will collaborate with AT&T to perform essential updates to our phone system on Friday October 24th between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
Each phone number will be unavailable for only 5 minutes within this 2-hour window as updates are applied.
Although we cannot specify the exact time each number will be affected, the status page will be updated once all work is complete.
Please note, this is not a full phone system outage.

Technicians have taken corrective actions. Users should now be able to make and receive calls on campus.  Phone services will continue to monitor the situation.

 Phone Service Intermittent Service Issues

Description

Telephone Services received reports around 8:15am on 8/6/25 that some areas were experiencing issues with some phone work groups, and Mitel Connect softphones.

The issues were resolved by 9:00am.  Phone Services is continuing to monitor the situation.

 Network Outage – Patient Care Center (PCC) – July 29, 2025 – 9:30 am

Power has been restored at this time.

 

JULY 29, 2025 – 9:30 AM – INITIAL REPORT:

Facilities has shut down power to the building and turned off the generator to repair a power issue.  There is no ETR (est. time of repair).

 Intermittent issue making calls off campus

Update – 6/30/25 2:25PM  

The issue has been resolved, we have not received any more calls with problems.

The issue should now be resolved, we will continue to monitor the situation.

 

Telephone Services is working on fixing an issue with some people not being able to call off-campus numbers.

 Campus Telephone System Upgrade

Start Time: 6/8/25 6:00 am - End Time: 6/8/25 4:00 pm

Update: 6/8/25 11:17AM

Telephone Services has completed the upgrade of the Campus Phone system. All phones should be working now. If you encounter an issue try the following:

 

Telephone Services will perform an upgrade to the Campus ShoreTel/Mitel phone system. Maintenance will begin at 6:00AM on Sunday June 8 and should be completed by 4:00PM.  During this upgrade campus phone users will experience:

  • Loss of campus phone service
  • Mitel Connect connectivity issues
  • Delayed delivery of voicemail messages

We will send additional details out via email to UMSL Faculty & Staff the week of June 2nd.
