 Intermittent issue making calls off campus

The issue has been resolved, we have not received any more calls with problems.

The issue should now be resolved, we will continue to monitor the situation.

 

Telephone Services is working on fixing an issue with some people not being able to call off-campus numbers.

 Campus Telephone System Upgrade

Update: 6/8/25 11:17AM

Telephone Services has completed the upgrade of the Campus Phone system. All phones should be working now. If you encounter an issue try the following:

 

Telephone Services will perform an upgrade to the Campus ShoreTel/Mitel phone system. Maintenance will begin at 6:00AM on Sunday June 8 and should be completed by 4:00PM.  During this upgrade campus phone users will experience:

  • Loss of campus phone service
  • Mitel Connect connectivity issues
  • Delayed delivery of voicemail messages

We will send additional details out via email to UMSL Faculty & Staff the week of June 2nd.

 Mitel server reboot

Description

At 9:55 AM we will reboot the Mitel server that handles softphones.

When the server is rebooted:

  • you will need to log back into the softphone client
  • any active softphone call will disconnect

Description

We are seeing delays when checking voicemail, along with poor workgroup performance. Our support vendor has suggested we reboot the server. That will be done momentarily.

 Network Outage – Arts Administration Building (AAB) – 6:35 PM March 19, 2025 –

Description

UPDATE: 6:45 PM 

Power was restored.  All network access was restored.

 

UPDATE: 12:45

Still waiting.  ETA 3:00 PM

 

UPDATE: 9:45 AM

Maintenance is waiting for equipment to arrive ETA 12:01 PM.

 

OUTAGE NOTICE:

All network access is currently unavailable due to a building power outage. No ETA is known at this time.

 Computer Education & Training Center – Network Outage – February 24, 2025,10:30 AM –

Description

FEBRUARY 24, 2025, 12:15 pm

Power has been restored to the facility and all network services have been verified by on-site contacts.

 

FEBRUARY 24, 2025, 10:45 am

It was determined that there is a power outage in the building. An electrician has been dispatched.

 

FEBRUARY 24, 2025, 10:30 am

The network team is investigating a network outage at CETC. All network and telephone services are affected.
