JULY 29, 2025 – 9:30 AM – INITIAL REPORT:
Facilities has shut down power to the building and turned off the generator to repair a power issue. There is no ETR (est. time of repair).

The upgrade is taking longer than anticipated. The majority of users should have connectivity now. The upgrade is estimated to be complete by 2:00pm 6/22/25.
Information Technology Services (ITS) is upgrading the Woods Hall network switch on Sunday, June 22. The upgrade is scheduled from 7:00 am to noon.

MOREnet informed us that our second route has been repaired. UMSL once again has fully redundant routes for campus internet connectivity.
Update: 3:48 PM
Internet service to UMSL has been restored. MOREnet has confirmed that repairs have been completed to one of our routes – fortunately, ahead of the original estimate.
MOREnet estimates the repair to our second route will occur tomorrow, 4/10/25. This will restore redundancy to our campus connectivity.

MOREnet, our Internet provider for campus, has given an estimated time for restoration (ETR). They anticipate one of our two “routes” to be restored this evening between 6 pm and midnight. This will return Internet to UMSL.
We will continue to post updates here and email meaningful updates as we learn more from MOREnet through the afternoon and this evening.

The North route fiber has been cut by vandalism. The south route is still under investigation. No estimated time of repair (ETR)
