Description
UMSL has received reports of delays affecting incoming email messages to @umsl.edu, @umsystem.edu, and other UM campus addresses, particularly from senders outside the university. You may receive messages that were delayed by several hours, but ITS expects that all messages have been queued by the affected service provider, and should be delivered as soon as possible. Messages sent between university students, faculty, and staff accounts are not expected to experience the same delays as outside senders, particularly if both sender and receiver are using Microsoft 365 email.

*Update*
Faculty and staff may be receiving new meeting requests for meetings that were previously scheduled using Microsoft Teams.
UMSL employees received an email this evening (11/19) from Microsoft that indicates you now have new calling features in Microsoft Teams. This email is legitimate and is a result of a license upgrade with Microsoft. You do not need to report the email as phishing or be concerned.
If we receive any additional information regarding this notification we will provide updates.

Please visit https://status.office.com/ for updated information.
UPDATE: The issue was resolved around 8pm, and logins should be working now.
Description
Outlook clients (desktop and mobile) may need to be restarted or they may prompt for re-authentication, due to the refresh of a critical service running on the email servers.
Description
Starting this morning, August 5th, users will be able to reset their password via a link on the Microsoft 365 login page. This change is a result of your requests and feedback. However, to be functional, this change will force users to re-verify their authentication methods the next time they login to any Microsoft 365 application online. If you have any issues with this process, please contact the UMSL IT Help Desk via https://help.umsl.edu or at 516-6034.
Description
We are receiving reports that some users are experiencing intermittent login issues when attempting to login to Outlook Web Access (https://owa.umsl.edu/). Clearing the browser cache or restarting the browser may resolve the issue, however, the UM System Exchange messaging team has opened a case with Microsoft to investigate potential service issues. We will provide updates as we get more information from the vendor.
