ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to servers. There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites (with umsl.edu and umsystem.edu addresses)
  • Remote Desktop Gateway

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected

SharePoint sites with sharepoint.com addresses will not be impacted

 UMSL Oracle Database Maintenance – Wed Oct 23 5:00am – 7:00am

There will be brief/intermittent outages of all UMSL production Oracle databases while maintenance is being performed.  Most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance period.

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 SharePoint service patch update

Start Time: 10/3/24 8:00 pm - End Time: 10/3/24 9:00 pm

Description

Update – October 3, 2024, 9:00pm
Recommended fix was applied per schedule.

UMSL ITS will apply a recommended fix to SharePoint services, to correct an issue introduced with the September 2024 updates. Microsoft recommends this fix to address instances where some workflows may not run successfully after the prior updates.

SharePoint sites with umsystem.edu and umsl.edu addresses will be temporarily unavailable while servers are being patched. Sites with sharepoint.com addresses will not be impacted.

 Help.umsl.edu – Cherwell

Description

Update: 9:06pm Maintenance by Cherwell is complete and help.umsl.edu is available.

 

Cherwell the system that provides help.umsl.edu will go through emergency maintenance Friday 8/2 between 2p-8p.

During this time, you may experience intermittent issues getting to help.umsl.edu.  Please use phone 314-516-6034, or in person, 190 MSC. to get assistance if you encounter issues accessing the site.

 Missing Microsoft 365 licenses, access to web apps and mailboxes

Description

Update: The issues with Microsoft 365 license assignments has been corrected. Please report any issues to https://help.umsl.edu

University of Missouri System Division of IT has reported an issue occurring this morning where a number of user accounts are missing Microsoft 365 licenses, which affects those users’ ability to access Microsoft 365 applications and email mailboxes. Technicians have initiated a fix and access should be restored by this afternoon.
