Planned Outage: Campus Solutions (CSPRD* & CSRPT*) – CS CatchUP PUM 36 & PeopleTools 8.61.14 Upgrade

Start Time: 11/22/25 6:00 am - End Time: 11/23/25 5:00 pm

Description

On November 22 – 23rd, the Campus Solutions Production environments [myZou, Pathway, Joe’SS and MyView] and the corresponding Reporting environments will be unavailable due to a required PeopleSoft Campus Solutions PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) Catch-Up PUM 36 and an incremental PeopleTools 8.61.14 upgrade. The system will be unavailable beginning at 6:00 am on Saturday, November 22nd, and will remain in a Maintenance Status until 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 23rd.

The Campus Solutions CSPRD and CSRPT instances will be upgraded to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions PUM 36 and PeopleTools 8.61.14 to maintain full vendor support. A notification will be sent when the application is available.

What’s affected:

Access to the Campus Solutions CSPRD* and CSRPT* environments [myZou, Pathway, Joe’SS and MyView] which includes direct Oracle database access, PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA), and Application Designer.

The overall student experience within these systems will not change, however the Administrative and Staff pages will change slightly after the upgrade due to Oracle delivering all the Faculty & Staff pages in PeopleSoft Classic Plus format. This is a vendor delivered change and is intended to be a more modern web experience, as a result some of the pages will display differently. I’ve attached a screen-shot showing the overall differences on the External Education page, which displays the Classic Plus styling changes.

This upgrade is required by Oracle to remain on a fully supported version of the toolset supporting the Campus Solutions application for the University of Missouri System.

 Data Warehouse Integrity Issue

Description

Early this morning, several of our data load processes experienced failures due to missing records in the data received from the central IT data warehouse. Because of the incomplete dataset, some downstream loaders and reporting processes were unable to complete successfully. As a result, certain data within our campus systems may appear incomplete or delayed until the issue is fully resolved. This includes our Kuali platform.

Our local campus was proactively notified and implemented short-term fixes to address the data feed issue. Many of our loaders are being re-run to bring campus systems back into full sync.

Thank you for your patience as we work with our central IT partners to resolve this issue.

Edit: All data load processes have been resolved.

Windows 11 and Office 365 Upgrades

Description

ITS is currently reaching out to faculty and staff with campus-managed Windows 10 systems to provide recommendations for those systems. Many of the remaining Windows 10 systems will have a convenient option to upgrade to Windows 11 while preserving stored data, as long as the system has enough free space to run the upgrade.

ITS is also providing an Office 365 upgrade for campus-managed Windows systems running Office 2016 or Office 2019. These systems will receive a pop-up notification when the Office 365 upgrade is ready, and this takes only a few minutes to install.

The UMSL helpdesk can assist with questions about these upgrades or with freeing up disk space.

Thanks for your partnership in keeping campus computers secure.
