 Campus Solutions Planned Outage: Production Updates for Oracle PUM 37 PRP1 (OB3)

Description

UM PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Production (myZou, Pathway, Joe’SS, MyView) CSPRD* Outage Announcement

Outage Description: The Campus Solutions Production environment (CSPRD* instances) will be under outage while Oracle CS PUM 37 PRP 1 for One Big Beautiful Bill (OB3) is applied and security updated.  A notification will be sent when the instances become available.

What’s affected: Access to the Campus Solutions Production (CSPRD*) instances, including PIA, Oracle Database and Application Designer.

 UMSL Oracle Database Maintenance – Fri May 8 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Description

There will be brief/intermittent outages of all UMSL production Oracle databases during scheduled maintenance.  During this time, most web applications hosted on apps.umsl.edu may experience temporary connectivity interruptions.

PeopleSoft applications, including MyView and MyHR, will not be affected and will remain available throughout the maintenance window.

Description

The mygateway.umsl.edu application is currently down. Developers are investigating the cause.

2026/03/27 1:43pm: mygateway.umsl.edu is again fully operational. Staff have located the cause and are implementing permanent fixes.

 Upcoming Cognos Upgrade: March 1, 2026

Start Time: 3/1/26 12:00 am - End Time: 3/1/26 11:59 pm

Description

The IT Data Analytics Architecture team is preparing to upgrade the university’s Cognos Analytics environment from version 11.7 to 12.1. IBM is ending support for our current version in April 2026, and this upgrade is necessary to ensure we remain on a secure and supported platform. The upgrade is scheduled for February 28 – March 1, 2026.

Query Studio Deprecation

As part of this upgrade, IBM is deprecating Query Studio, and it will no longer be available after the upgrade. We believe all Query Studio users have been identified and contacted. If you have not been contacted or need assistance transitioning, please reach out to Victoria Arnold directly.

Aside from some user interface changes, other Cognos functionality will remain the same. Users will continue to be able to create, modify, run, and schedule reports as they do today.
