 Campus printing services maintenance

Description

Campus printing services will be unavailable during the outage.  This includes the following:

  • Desktop printing
  • Mobile print (print from email)
  • Xerox Copy/Scan services
  • Student Lab printing

Update: ITS performed the maintenance successfully.  At this time, no issues have been reported.

 Fax Services outage

Description

Network fax services are experiencing problems.  Users will not be able to fax using the Network Fax system at this time.  ITS is working on the issue and will update when services are restored.

Update: Fax services should now be available.  Previous attempts to send faxes were queued, but may not complete successfully.  Please resend any important faxes.

 UMSL Oracle Database Maintenance

Start Time: 5/1/19 4:00 am - End Time: 5/1/19 7:00 am

Description

There will be brief/intermittent outages of all UMSL production Oracle databases while maintenance is being performed.  Most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance period.

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 Several Classroom and lab computers will not get updates and does not load properly

Description

Several computers could not update Windows and would go into a perpetual loop and would not fully load. Classroom and lab computers are no longer searching for Windows updates and are currently functioning. Server Administrators are still looking into the cause.

 Network Maintenance Server Network – Sunday April 28, 2019 12:01am (0001) to 6:00am (0600) –

Description

Networking will be upgrading the server network equipment.  There will be networking outages for departmental file shares, K: drives/MyDocuments (for faculty and staff with last names beginning K-Z), TritonApps sessions, and servers used for clinical or compliance data.

 Windows and Linux Server Patching

 ELS (Sassin building) Network Maintenance

Description

Networking is going to be doing equipment maintenance tomorrow on the ELS networking equipment. For the duration of the maintenance wired, wireless, and telephone service will be unavailable in ELS only.

 Seton Network Maintenance 4/21/19

 File Server Disk Maintenance

Start Time: 4/19/19 5:00 pm - End Time: 4/20/19 5:00 am

Description

From 5:00pm – 7:00pm, ITS will perform disk maintenance on Steamboat / K: drive file servers. During this time, there will be intermittent access to faculty and staff personal files (last names beginning K-Z) and all departmental shares.

Beginning at 5:00pm, Soulard files for faculty and staff will be moved to newer storage.  Files stored on soulard will be unavailable until the migration completes in early morning hours.  During the migration, most departmental pages on www.umsl.edu should be available via a cached copy, but faculty/staff personal home pages will be unavailable.
