Description

Networking will be upgrading the software on equipment located in the following buildings.

SCCB – South Campus Classroom Building
WEB – Ward E. Barns Building ( ED Collabitat)
ESH 4th floor – Express Scripts Hall
TJL – Thomas Jefferson Libaray
VRH – Villa Resident Hall
SCB – South Campus computer Building
SH – Stadler Hall

All network and Telephone service will be unavailable during the reboot. (approx. 10 min.)

 Network Fax connectivity issues

Description

There is currently an issue with the network fax system.  Inbound and outbound faxes from outside campus are failing.  IT technicians are working on this issue and will notify when it is resolved.

This issue is now resolved.

 Windows and Linux Server Patching

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows and Linux servers.

There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Web applications on apps.umsl.edu
  • Faculty/Staff MyDocuments and Department Shares
  • Student Unix home directories
  • Secure file shares (RMS)
  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites
  • UMSL Blogs and other WordPress blogs
  • Library databases
  • Panopto videos
  • Oracle databases
  • WWW sites

 Oak Hall Network Outage

Description

The north wing of Oak Residence Hall is currently without network access.  We are actively working to resolve the issue.  Wired network, Wireless network and campus-owned IP telephones are affected.

Networking has been restored to Oak Residence Hall North wing.

 Wireless Maintenance – Sunday March 18, 2018 – 8am to Noon –

Start Time: 3/18/18 8:00 am - End Time: 3/18/18 11:59 am

Description

Networking will be updating the configuration of our wireless network.  This will require a reboot of all wireless access points on campus.

Each building will be rebooted individually lasting up to 10 minutes per building.   During this time all wireless access will be unavailable.

 Power outage north campus 3-16-2018 9:25 am

Description

North campus suffered a brief power outage that has caused the Tower network equipment to reboot affecting all network and telephone services in the building.    All systems have been restored at this time.

 Kaltura’s Captions Request services is unavailable at this time, error 500

Description

Kaltura’s  Captions Request services are unavailable at this time.   Multiple University across the US  are receiving the error 500 when requesting captioning.     The vendor is working on resolving the services outage.

Kaltura’s Captions Request services are now available. Root cause: vendor needed to update  SSL certificate.
