 Network Maintenance 8/13

Description

This Sunday Network Support needs to reset a networking module in our core infrastructure.  This is needed to remedy a networking issue that could cause access issues on campus. We are not expecting any extended downtime with this and any impact should be minimal (a few minutes)l and limited to a small number of campus buildings.

 Center for Nano-science – Network Outage – 8/9/2017 8:00 AM

Description

CNS (center for nano-science) is currently experiencing a network outage.  This affects all network (wired, wireless) and phone service.  Networking team is currently investigating the outage.

 

UPDATE: Fiber feeding CNS was accidentally cut at the Benton hall renovation project.  Estimated 3 hours for repair.   All current occupants in CNS have been personally notified.

 AB Hall

Description

The construction contractors were doing electrical testing in AB Hall, this cause the network equipment to reboot.  Service should be restored.

 Login for student email on Office 365

Description

ITS received several reports that the website for Office 365 email login (mail.umsl.edu) was not functioning.  It appears that these issues have been resolved at this time.
