 MyGateway Connectivity Issues

Description

7:30pm — Disk issues seem to be stable now.  Columbia ITS is working with the hardware vendor to determine the root cause.  MyGateway is now fully functional.

 

5:15pm — Backend disk storage in Columbia is experiencing issues that is causing service unavailable for some MyGateway nodes.  Columbia ITS is currently working on the problem.  MyGateway appears to be stable at this time but we are keeping an eye on it.  If you cannot connect now, please try again a little later as it is an intermittent issue.

 Windows Server Patching

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows servers.

There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Faculty/Staff MyDocuments and Department Shares
  • Secure file shares (RMS)
  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites
  • Panopto videos

 E-mail print job submission (TritonPrint) outage

Description

This outage only affects users who are submitting print jobs via email to tritonprint@umsl.edu.  This does not affect normal printing.  Jobs submit successfully but users are unable to print the jobs after submission.  Technical personnel are working to resolve this issue.

 UMSL Oracle Database Maintenance

Description

All production UMSL Oracle databases will be down while the latest security patches are applied.  Most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

 MOREnet Maintenance – 1/18/17

Description

Wednesday, 1/18/17,   12:01am – 6:00am

On Wednesday 1/18  MOREnet, the campus ISP, will be performing maintenance on our campus Internet links. During this time users may notice short delays as Internet traffic is rerouted. Users at remote sites may experience a short outage during this maintenance.

 Canvas Enrollments Temporarily Disabled

Description

8:45a – A bug in our data load scripts have disabled some course enrollments in Canvas.  This mostly affects instructors seeing their courses for Spring 2017 but may affect some students as well.  We are working on running in a known good data set from Monday and then correcting the bug.

4:42p – Data in Canvas has been corrected.  Enrollments should be back to normal.  The bug in our data load scripts has been repairerd.  ITS staff are monitoring the scripts for further issues.  Please contact the FRC or TSC if you are still missing any course in Canvas.

 Panopto Services outage for urgent update.

Start Time: 1/12/17 7:00 am - End Time: 1/12/17 9:00 am

Description

Panopto’s  MAC recorder  as been found by the vendor to have a bug in it that causes screen recorder to abruptly stop with the loss of the recording.

To correct this issue we need to update the Panopto server to version 5.2, which will cause a Panopto services outage.

No Panopto service will be available during the outage period.  During outage the ability to uploading to the server, or the playback of selected  Panopto recordings will be unavailable.

 UMSL Oracle Database Outage
