 Remote Site Internet Outage, 03/31/2026 – 9:35am

Description

Update 9:43 pm

Current ETR is 9:40am April 1

Update 7:33 pm

Repair crews are still on-site repairing the damaged fiber.  earlier estimate has been canceled and no further ETR has been issued.

Update 2:04 pm

ATT has identified that a fiber cut has caused the outage.  They estimate it will take an hour to repair the cut.

 

March 31, 2026 9:38am

Networking is investigating an Internet outage to UMSL’s remote sites.  The following sites are currently without wired and wireless Internet and telephones:

Center for Behavioral Health – West County

Children’s Advocacy Center – West Pine

Optometry – Lindell

Optometry – East St. Louis

 mygateway.umsl.edu Outage

Description

The mygateway.umsl.edu application is currently down. Developers are investigating the cause.

2026/03/27 1:43pm: mygateway.umsl.edu is again fully operational. Staff have located the cause and are implementing permanent fixes.

 Mark Twain / RCEW network outage, 03/16/26 3:19pm

Description

Update 6:05pm

All network services in Mark Twain and RCEW have been restored

UPDATE 5:00 PM

The outage has been connected to a power failure affecting multiple buildings, including RCEW and Mark Twain. The estimated time to restore service is currently unknown.

 

 

Networking is investigating a network outage at Mark Twain.  all wired, wireless Internet and phones are affected.
