 Web Application Availability Hosted on apps.umsl.edu

Description

This morning, some web applications hosted on apps.umsl.edu experienced an unexpected outage due to an underlying database issue. Services have since been restored, and all applications are now available.

The underlying cause is still under investigation, and we will continue to monitor closely.

 Phone Services is investigating issues making and receiving calls

Technicians have taken corrective actions. Users should now be able to make and receive calls on campus.  Phone services will continue to monitor the situation.

 MOREnet Internet maintenance – 8/20/2025

MODOT is performing scheduled maintenance which it impacting UMSL’s North Route.  No disruption is expected as the South Route will handle the traffic

All wireless access points (WAP) in ESH will be migrated to the new server by the networking team. There should be no impact on users.

 Phone Service Intermittent Service Issues

Description

Telephone Services received reports around 8:15am on 8/6/25 that some areas were experiencing issues with some phone work groups, and Mitel Connect softphones.

The issues were resolved by 9:00am.  Phone Services is continuing to monitor the situation.
