Technicians have restored connectivity to UMSL-hosted IT services. Thanks for your patience.

Update – March 22, 2025, 1:00 pm

Technicians have been working to restore connectivity to hosted services. At this time, some SharePoint sites are still unavailable.

IT services hosted on the UMSL campus are currently unreachable on- and off-campus due to a networking outage affecting the data center.  Technicians are working to restore service.

This temporary disconnection is essential as we carefully transition users to our cutting-edge equipment, ensuring a smoother and faster internet experience in the future.

 

Additionally, the wireless network will undergo a crucial reboot during this upgrade process. You can expect this to take about five minutes, during which access to our wireless signal will be temporarily unavailable. Power was restored.  All network access was restored.

Still waiting.  ETA 3:00 PM

Maintenance is waiting for equipment to arrive ETA 12:01 PM.

 

OUTAGE NOTICE:

All network access is currently unavailable due to a building power outage. No ETA is known at this time.

 Music Building Network Upgrade – 3/14/2025, 7pm-9pm

Start Time: 3/14/25 7:00 pm - End Time: 3/14/25 9:00 pm

Description

Networking will be upgrading the network equipment in the Music Building on Friday evening.  Given the expectation of inclement weather, This maintenance will begin promptly at 7pm.  There will be intermittent disruptions to wired and wireless Internet and telephones within the building while the work is being completed.

 Remote Site ISP Maintenance – 3/14/2025, 10:30pm

Description

UMSL’s Internet Service Provider, MOREnet will be performing router maintenance in the St. Louis hub.  Their maintenance window will be 10:30pm Friday 3/14 through 3:30am Saturday, 3/15.  During this window, UMSL’s remote sites will experience a 1 hour outage affecting Internet and telephones.  Service disruption is not expected for the UMSL campus.

A power issue is affecting the Arts Administration Building (AAB) networking closet, causing a network outage for the entirety of AAB. It is currently under investigation.
