UMSL Networking will be applying routing updates to the campus core network.  While updates are applied and tested, there could be a brief loss of Internet access to:

Telephones

Wireless

Remote Sites:

  • St. Louis Public Radio
  • CETC – West County
  • CAC – West Pine
  • CAC – Kirkwood
  • UMSL Eye Care – Lindell
  • UMSL Eye Care – East St. Louis

 

Update 05/26/2024 – Due to preventive maintenance work performed 05/25, This work is postponed to the 8am – 11am timeframe.  Disruptions are not expected

 Fine Arts Building – Power Issues 05/23/2024

Description

Ameren crews are working to restore power to the Fine Arts Building.  Currently there is no wired or wireless Internet or telephones in the building.

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows and Linux servers. There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites (with umsl.edu and umsystem.edu addresses)
  • Unix home directories
  • WWW sites
  • UMSL Blogs and other WordPress blogs
  • Library databases
  • Remote Desktop Gateway

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected

SharePoint sites with sharepoint.com addresses will not be impacted

 Canvas emails are being block

Description

Update:

A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results. Emails that were sent to you from Canvas during this issue should now flow to you, but any emails that you sent TO Canvas that bounced will need to be resent. Thank you.

 

Users are reporting bounced emails to Canvas and that Canvas notifications are not being received. Technicians are looking into the issue. Time to resolution is unknown currently. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
