 Delays with email delivery

Description

UMSL has received reports of delays affecting incoming email messages to @umsl.edu, @umsystem.edu, and other UM campus addresses, particularly from senders outside the university.  You may receive messages that were delayed by several hours, but ITS expects that all messages have been queued by the affected service provider, and should be delivered as soon as possible.  Messages sent between university students, faculty, and staff accounts are not expected to experience the same delays as outside senders, particularly if both sender and receiver are using Microsoft 365 email.

 Nursing Admin Building – Network Outage 2/21/21

Start Time: 2/21/21 7:00 am - End Time: 2/21/21 12:00 pm

Description

Contractors will be splicing fiber optic cable in the Legras building Sunday 2/21/21 at 7am which will cause the Nursing Admin building to lose all network connectivity for the duration of the work.

 

Work was completed around 10:30am 2/21/21, network devices are operational

Description

We have completed monitoring after normal performance was restored earlier at 20:51 UTC / 3:51 CST

Upload, API and KMS

Incident status: Identified

What is the Impact: API errors, KMS/KAF and Upload unavailability.

Current Status: Root cause has been identified and our teams are working on the resolution.

What to Expect Next: The next update will be posted within 30 minutes.

 UMSL Edge Firewall Updates

Description

Security updates will be installed on the UMSL edge firewall on Sunday. February 7th. Although, we do not expect any outages due to high availability, but it is possible between 7AM and 9AM. This may affect all campus services including Sharepoint and other applications

 Softphone users are getting disconnected.

Description

There are reports of Softphone users getting disconnected. Telephone services is investigating the problem together with Mitel.

 

This issue resolved on its own for all users during troubleshooting.
