 Outlook Mobile App Sync Issues

Description

ITS has received reports that the Outlook app for mobile devices is not syncing with the server. Web-based access appears to be unaffected. Technicians are currently investigating the issue.

 Microsoft Teams missing Calendar information

Description

ITS has received reports that the Microsoft Teams application is currently missing Calendar information for many users. The problem is being investigated at this time.

 Desktop (physical) phone service degraded.

Description

Due to a Mitel switch failure, physical phone service on campus is degraded.  We will reboot the switch at 5 PM and continue to investigate.

 Stadler phone & network outage

Description

An electrical issue cause the phones in Stadler Hall 2nd floor not to power on resulting in no internet access.  The issue has been resolved.

 Oracle Database Maintenance – Friday 7/24/20

Start Time: 7/24/20 5:30 pm - End Time: 7/24/20 7:30 pm

Description

There will be brief/intermittent outages of all UMSL production Oracle databases, and most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance period.

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 

07/24/2020 6:15pm: Maintenance has concluded and all databases are now fully operational.

 NAB Network Outage — Sunday 7/26/20

Description

ITS will be replacing a failed switch in the Nurse Admin Building, Sunday 7/26/20.  Some users will not have network access including wired, wireless, or telephone service.

 Windows Server Patching

 UMSL Campus Edge Firewall Maintenance

Description

Security Updates are being performed on the UMSL Campus Edge Firewall this morning. Due to the high availability design of our network, we do not expect any interruption of access to the UMSL Campus network.  However, there is always a possibility that it may happen. Updates will be made between 6:00 AM and 10 AM on July 19.

 UMSL Data Center Firewall Maintenance

Description

Security Updates are being performed on the UMSL Data Center Firewall this morning. Due to the high availability design of our network, we do not expect any interruption of access to servers in the data center.  However, there is always a possibility that it may happen. Updates will be made between 6:30 AM and noon on July 12.
