 Printing outages

Description

Reports are coming in of users having difficulty printing across campus.  UMSL ITS are working on the problem and will update when it is resolved.

UPDATE:  We believe this issue is now resolved.  Please report any subsequent issues to the Technical Support Center.

 Windows Server Patching

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows servers.

There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Faculty/Staff MyDocuments and Department Shares
  • Student Unix home directories
  • Secure file shares (RMS)
  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites
  • UMSL Blogs and other WordPress blogs
  • Panopto videos

Additionally, WordPress sites (including blogs.umsl.edu) will be unavailable for a brief time due to server maintenance.

 Wireless server maintenance 4/12/17 5:30 am – 7am

Start Time: 4/12/17 5:30 am - End Time: 4/12/17 7:00 am

Description

Networking will be performing maintenance on the wireless network on Wednesday 4/12/17 beginning at 5:30 am.
Affected services are classroom wireless, guest wireless and VPN.

 

Continue to work with vendor on server issues.  Will preform additional maintenance Friday 4/14/17 at 5:30pm

 

After working with the vendor, we will be rebuilding the secondary server Sunday 5/14/17.  Network authentication failures are possible but not expected.

 

We are still working with the vendor to resolve on going issues

 

We will be restarting the auth servers on Sunday 5/21 7am, This could affect lab/classrooms, VPN, Triton Video.  Should take approximately 30 minute to 1 hour

 

Still working on the issue with the vendor.  We are doing more testing Sunday 6/11/17, we do not anticipating any outages

 

We are still working with the vendor to get live logging working, this is not affecting connectivity to the network, just the ability to troubleshoot in case of issues.

 

We continue to work with the vendor on this issue.

 Logins to Delmar server

Description

Logins to Delmar.umsl.edu were failing, due to memory exhaustion by user processes.  The problem has been resolved..

 Update on Wireless Network Outage

Description

ITS has restored access to the wireless TritonSecure network for classroom laptops. ITS will continue to work with vendor to determine root cause.
