 Users Might Experience Issues with Microsoft Teams

Description

Users may experience multiple issues with their Microsoft Teams.

Affected scenarios include, but aren’t limited to:

– Users performing a cold boot may not be able to log into teams and will see a “oops” page.

– Users logging in or unlocking their devices after some time may see missing messages.

– Users may experience slow loading of messages and images.

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows and Linux servers. There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • Unix home directories
  • SharePoint sites (with umsl.edu and umsystem.edu addresses)
  • Remote Desktop Gateway
  • WWW sites
  • Web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu
  • UMSL Blogs and other WordPress blogs
  • Library databases

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected

SharePoint sites with sharepoint.com addresses will not be impacted

 Network Outage – AAB, 01/18/24

Description

UMSL Networking is investigating network issues at the Arts Administration Building.  Currently the building has no wired, wireless or IP telephone services.

 

 

Construction-related issues caused an extended power potage to network equipment.  services have been restored

 Problems with Telephone Switch

Description

The Network team is investigating a hardware failure of the telephone system.  A small group of users might see an impact.   It should resolve on its own however, to speed up the process, if you are experiencing issues, please reboot your phone by unplugging the ethernet cable out and back in
