Description

UMSL Networking will be continuing software maintenance and failover testing equipment connecting campus to the Internet.  Internet access to and from Campus may be disrupted during the failover tests.

 Server and Oracle patching – Fri Jan 27 5:30pm – 10:00pm

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to servers and Oracle databases. There will be brief disruptions to:

  • TritonApps sessions
  • Print and fax services
  • SharePoint sites
  • Web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu
  • Oracle databases (expected downtime 8pm – 10pm)

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected

Description

Networking will be performing software maintenance to equipment connecting campus to the Internet.  During this time, we will also be testing failover of the campus firewalls.  A brief Internet disruption may be noticed while traffic re-routes.

 Microsoft Office Application Shortcut issues

Description

Some Users are unable to utilize the Microsoft Office Application shortcuts on the Start menu and taskbar.

It’s impacting M365, Internet browsers, and possibly a few other applications.

This a widespread issue that Microsoft is aware of.

Users can still get to applications by going to their C Drive C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficerootOffice16
