 SharePoint and additional UMSL services outage

Description

Some UMSL services are currently unavailable due to an unexpected database issue following scheduled server patching.

Affected services include:

  • SharePoint web sites
  • TritonApps
  • Campus printing

Other services may be impacted.  We are actively working to resolve the issue.

Update: The problem has been identified and corrected.  Services are available again.

 Windows Server and Oracle Database Patching

Start Time: 10/30/20 5:30 pm - End Time: 10/30/20 8:30 pm

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows servers and Oracle database servers.

There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Faculty/Staff MyDocuments and Department Shares
  • Campus print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites
  • Oracle databases

Most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance period.

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 Network outage – CETC Remote Site

Description

Due to an unscheduled power failure at the facility, all Network, telephone and wireless services are currently unavailable.  Services became unavailable at approximately 10:01am.  We are continuing to monitor the issue.

 Identity Service (Authentication) migration – 10/11/2020 – 12:01 AM

Networking will be migrating to new Identity Service hardware  (User Authentication) Sunday morning.   This migration will impact all Wireless and VPN connected devices requiring users to login.

 Adobe Sign In Issue

Description

Adobe has restored services.

 

Adobe is currently experiencing an outage that is affecting the ability to sign in to the applications. We will keep an eye on their status page and update as needed.
