 Learning Studios, VPN and Guest Wireless – Outage –

Description

Networking experienced a fault in one of our servers and working on getting it repaired.  This outage is causing disruption to Learning Studio classroom laptops,  VPN access, and Guest Wireless.

 Wireless Maintenance – 8/23 5:00 AM –

Description

Networking will be making configuration changes to the Wireless network to resolve a known issue.

During the changes all wireless access will experience brief outages during the maintenance hour.

On Wednesday, 8/16, Network Support will be replacing a failing module in our core networking hardware.  Wireless users may experience a short 1-2 minute outage during this work.

 Center for Nano-science – Network Outage – 8/9/2017 8:00 AM

Description

CNS (center for nano-science) is currently experiencing a network outage.  This affects all network (wired, wireless) and phone service.  Networking team is currently investigating the outage.

 

UPDATE: Fiber feeding CNS was accidentally cut at the Benton hall renovation project.  Estimated 3 hours for repair.   All current occupants in CNS have been personally notified.

 WIFI issues on campus

Description

A few people on campus are having trouble connecting to TritonNet while others are having no issues. Networking is aware of the problem and is working to resolve the issue.

 Learning Studio Laptops Unable to Login

Description

Users are currently unable to log into any of the laptops in the learning studios or the Clark Hall 200 laptop cart.  UMSL ITS is working on the issue and will update when it is resolved.

 

Secondary authentication server was giving a certification error, switched to primary server, lab calls machines should be able to log in.  Working with vendor to fix the issue.
