UMSL’s service provider, MoreNet reported connectivity issues to campus this morning due inclement weather impacting damaged fiber optics.

We are experiencing a network outage with our internet provider (MOREnet) to our remote sites. This includes Children’s Advocacy Center – West Pine and Kirkwood locations, Computer Education & Training Center, Lindell Eye Center, and East St. Louis Eye Center locations. All network and phone services are unavailable at this time.

ITS will be upgrading network equipment in MSCGN (maintenance area) and on the 3rd floor South of MSC. Users will have no network access during this outage. This includes wired, wireless, and phone service.

We had equipment failure on the 3rd floor of MSC. Some users might be experiencing no Network and Phone Services at the moment. We have technician currently working on issue.
Construction crew on the 3rd floor tripped circuit, power seems to have been restored for now.

There was an overnight failure of networking equipment on the second floor of MSC. Networking is on site fixing the issue.
UPS did not recover properly from power outage. It has resumed work after a reboot.
