Description

UMSL Networking will be applying routing updates to the campus core network.  While updates are applied and tested, there could be a brief loss of Internet access to:

Wireless

Remote Sites:

  • CETC – West County
  • CAC – West Pine
  • CAC – Kirkwood
  • UMSL Eye Care – Lindell
  • UMSL Eye Care – East St. Louis

 

Update 05/26/2024 – Due to preventive maintenance work performed 05/25, This work is postponed to the 8am – 11am timeframe.  Disruptions are not expected

 MOREnet Internet Maintenance, 03/17/24 – 8am – noon

Description

MOREnet and UMSL engineers will be making upgrades to one of the campus’ Internet connections.  The remaining connections will not be changed, so no outage to the campus is anticipated.  There could be a potential brief disruption to the remote sites including STLPR, CAC West Pine, CAC Kirkwood and the Eye Care centers at Lindell and East St. Louis.

 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the upgrade work is causing intermittent outages.  We aim to resolve this work within the maintenance window

 UMSL Campus Network Planned Firewall Maintenance – No Outages Expected

Necessary security and technology updates are being applied to the campus firewalls today. Although we do not expect any outages, users may notice small interruptions to services during this time.

 Benton Hall partial network outage, 11/3/2023

Description

UMSL Networking is currently investigating hardware issues that may be affecting power to some users IP telephones and wireless to some areas of the building.  Affected users who’s PC’s connect to their deskphones are also without Internet access.

 Eduroam Wireless Connectivity

Description

We are currently experiencing issues with Eduroam connectivity and are
currently working to resolve the issue. Successful connections make take
multiple attempts.
