 Server and Oracle patching – Fri July 28 5:30pm – 9:30pm

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to servers and Oracle databases. There will be brief disruptions to:

  • TritonApps sessions
  • Print and fax services
  • Remote Desktop Gateway
  • SharePoint sites (with umsl.edu and umsystem.edu addresses)
  • Web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu
  • Oracle databases (expected downtime 5:30pm – 8:30pm)

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be impacted

SharePoint sites with sharepoint.com addresses will not be impacted

The MyGateway web application will not be impacted

 Campus Database Applications

Description

One of the campus database hosts has a storage issue that need to be addressed.  This may result in outages for the associated campus applications.  Among the affected applications:

  • MicroMain
  • Print Shop
  • SimpleK
  • TicketTrak
  • EdFi

 Network and web app outages for UM campus

Description

The UM campus in Columbia is currently experiencing issues with network connectivity.  Several hosted web applications hosted on umsystem.edu and missouri.edu are currently unavailable, including MyView and MyHR.  The issue is being investigated.

 UMSL Remote Site Network Outage, 7/12/2023

Description

UMSL is aware of an AT&T network outage that is affecting Internet, telephone and wireless Internet access to the following remote sites:

Children’s Advocacy Center – West Pine

Children’s Advocacy Center – Kirkwood

Computer Education and Training Center

STLPR @ Grand Center

Lindell Optometric Center

East Saint Louis Optometric Center

 

We are in communication with out vendor and will provide status updates when we have them.
