  • Library databases

 Outage – Research Building – due to power outage. all Networking and Telephone Services are affected.

Description

The network team is experiencing a power issue in Research building.  We are investigating the issue now.  Currently, all internet and telephone services are unavailable. No ETR at this time.

Maintenace found one phase has failed.  Networking is moving their connection to another phase now.

 Exchange (faculty/staff email) Changes

Start Time: 9/15/19 12:00 am - End Time: 9/15/19 6:00 am

Description

The UM System Exchange Email Team is making necessary configuration changes to Exchange (faculty/staff email) this weekend. As a result, users should expect the following:
• A prompt for username and password in mail clients;
• A request to accept a new security certificate;
• A message reading: “The Administrator has made a change to your mailbox, please restart Outlook”.

Restarting Outlook mail clients will be required.

 Brief Outage of Web applications on apps.umsl.edu

Description

An unusually large number of database connections caused intermittent errors on apps.umsl.edu.

This has been resolved and technicians are actively investigating the underlying cause.

 Network Equipment upgrade at Music Building 9/8/2019 7:00am

Description

Networking is going to be replacing a piece of equipment in the Music building Sunday. There will be no wired networking, wireless networking, or telephone services during this time.
