 Scheduled Maintenance – Telephone Upgrade

Description

7/15 Update: Telephone upgrade has been completed. Please follow link in email announcement for instructions on installing new communicator client.

7/14 Update 2:Upgrade is complete and phones should be working. The communicator application upgrade is not launching as expected. Telephone Services will  continue to test and monitor the application until 7/15 and will provide an update if needed.

7/14 Update: ITS Telephone Services continues to work on testing the environment. The upgrade is completed and we are working through any issues we find.

 

On July 13/14 Telephone Services will be performing an upgrade to the Campus ShoreTel/Mitel phone system. Maintenance will begin at 5:30PM on July 13 and should be completed by Noon on July 14.  During this time period, users may experience loss of phone service, loss of connection to ShoreTel Communicator, loss of Soft Phone connectivity and delayed delivery of voicemail messages.

 Network Outage 1st floor Oak Hall

Description

There is a network issue affecting 1st floor of Oak Hall.  All wired and wireless network is unavailable.  Network is investigating the issue at this time.

 

2:00pm – Issue resolved.  There was a faulty connection to the network equipment and it has been repaired.

 Network Outage – Marillac Hall –

Description

Power outage has cause a network outage in parts of Marillac hall.

8:30 – Maintenance is currently working with Ameren to isolate the power issues.  No estimate on time of repair.

SCCB – South Campus Classroom Building
WEB – Ward E. Barns Building ( ED Collabitat)
ESH 4th floor – Express Scripts Hall
TJL – Thomas Jefferson Libaray
VRH – Villa Resident Hall
SCB – South Campus computer Building
SH – Stadler Hall

All network and Telephone service will be unavailable during the reboot. (approx. 10 min.)

 Remote Sites have no Network and Phones

Description

We have no Network or Phone service on the Remote sites. We are calling Morenet again for news.

11am:  AT&T is experiencing an equipment failure similar to the recent outages that have occurred on 2/9, 2/13/ and 2/14. We are working with the vendor in an attempt to come up with a final resolution to the problem.

1:31pm: AT&T has resolved the issue. We do not have any more information.
