 Network outage – CETC Remote Site

Description

Due to an unscheduled power failure at the facility, all Network, telephone and wireless services are currently unavailable.  Services became unavailable at approximately 10:01am.  We are continuing to monitor the issue.

 STLPR @Grand Center Network Upgrade – 8/10/2020 MIdnight to 3am

Start Time: 8/10/20 12:00 am - End Time: 8/10/20 3:00 am

Description

Networking will be upgrading equipment at the Grand Center facility on Monday 8/10 between 12am midnight and 3am.   During the maintenance, IP phones, Internet, wireless (TritonNet) and STLPR radio equipment will be unavailable.  Actual outage duration is expected to be brief, but the entire maintenance period is reserved.

 NAB Network Outage — Sunday 7/26/20

Description

ITS will be replacing a failed switch in the Nurse Admin Building, Sunday 7/26/20.  Some users will not have network access including wired, wireless, or telephone service.

 UMSL Campus Edge Firewall Maintenance

Description

Security Updates are being performed on the UMSL Campus Edge Firewall this morning. Due to the high availability design of our network, we do not expect any interruption of access to the UMSL Campus network.  However, there is always a possibility that it may happen. Updates will be made between 6:00 AM and 10 AM on July 19.

 SSB Tower Electrical Outage

Description

There is currently a power outage in the SSB Tower due to electrical contractors working in the building.  The network equipment will be down until power is restored.  This will affect remote access to user systems in this location.

 Internet and Telephone services outage at UMSL remote sites 2/10/2020

Description

There is an internet and telephone services outage at Child advocacy center kirkwood and westpine, ITE, CETC, Lindell eye center and East STL eye center. ITS is currently investigating the issue.

 

The cause of this issue has been identified as equipment failure within the AT&T network.  The equipment has been replaced and services are restored as of 3:50pm 2/10/2020
