 UMSL Data Center Firewall Maintenance

Description

On Sunday, May 22nd between 7 and 9 AM UMSL will update their data center Firewall. Although we do not expect any substantial outage, it is possible for there to be periodic drops in traffic to UMSL hosted SharePoint, Web Applications and other services run out of the UMSL data center.

 Upgrading Equipment in MSC 2nd Floor.

Networking will be upgrading equipment on the 2nd floor of the Millennium Student Center. Internet and Telephones will not work in some parts of MSC until the upgrade is complete.

Description

Due to an electrical outage on North Campus, Woods Hall experienced a brief network outage.  This includes wired, wireless Internet access as well as Phones.

Description

UMSL Networking is investigating reports of intermittent or slow Internet service.

 

UMSL’s service provider, MoreNet reported connectivity issues to campus this morning due inclement weather impacting damaged fiber optics.

 Network outage – Remote Sites – January 20 2022 – 12:08 AM – TBD

Description

We are experiencing a network outage with our internet provider (MOREnet) to our remote sites.   This includes Children’s Advocacy Center – West Pine and Kirkwood locations,  Computer Education & Training Center,  Lindell Eye Center, and East St. Louis Eye Center locations.    All network and phone services are unavailable at this time.
