 Student Residence Wired Network issues – Resolved

Description

UMSL network technicians were alerted to networking issues on the Student Residence Wired Network earlier today. Those network issues have been resolved and that network is now working as expected.

 Core Network Maintenance – Friday Oct 11, 2024 – 8PM – 10PM

Description

UPDATE: October 11, 2024,  10:00 pm

Maintenance was completed successfully.

 

 

 

The networking team will be upgrading equipment on the main UMSL campus network. Although we do not expect any network outages during this time, it is always possible that users may notice some brief network slow downs.

 East St. Louis Optometry Network Issue Resolved

Description

UMSL Networking has resolved the Networking issues in the East St. Louis Optometry Office, The network is now functioning as expected.

UMSL networking is seeing the East STL Optometry router down.  Have contacted out ISP to check the ATT circuit.  Have not verified power at the site yet.

 Scheduled Network Firewall Maintenance

Description

Sunday morning we will perform regular scheduled maintenance on our campus firewalls.  Although we do not expect any noticeable service outages to our networks, it is always a possibility. All work should be complete by noon on Sunday.

 Touhill Performing Arts Center Outage

Description

The Touhill Performing Arts Center (PAC) is experiencing an intermittent outage. We are currently investigating the issue and will provide an update.

Services have returned at 9:30 P.M. Central.

Update:  The 2nd floor network switch is currently down.  PAC has been notified, networking is in route to diagnose the issue.

 Fine Art Building Power Outage, 06/12/2024

Description

At 9:10pm Ameren confirmed that Fine Arts Building and neighboring residences are currently without power.  Wired and wireless Internet and Telephones within the Fine Arts building and Baseball field are currently out of service.  Crews have been dispatched and updates will be posted as they are received.

Description

Ameren crews are working to restore power to the Fine Arts Building.  Currently there is no wired or wireless Internet or telephones in the building.
