 Network Outage – ESH 2nd and 3rd Floors

Description

This Sunday, 3/12,  Express Scripts Hall second and third floor networking hardware will be migrated to new fiber.  During this migration there may be a brief network outage for wired and wireless devices on these floors.

 Intermittent Network Outages Campus Wide

Description

ITS is receiving campus wide reports that workstations are unable to login to the network.  ITS staff are currently working to identify and rectify the login problems.

Description

There is an issue with the network equipment in Oak Hall on the 5th floor.  Networking is investigating the cause.

 SSB Network Outage – Wednesday 7/27, 5:00am – 7:00am

Start Time: 7/27/16 5:00 am - End Time: 7/27/16 7:00 am

Description

Wireless network access in SSB will be unavailable during this time.  This outage also affects wired lab and classroom systems in SSB.

Service should be restored by 7:00 am.

 Windows and Linux Server Patching

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows and Linux servers.

There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Faculty/Staff MyDocuments and Department Shares
  • Student K: drives, including Unix home directories and personal web pages
  • Faculty/Staff/Departmental Unix home directories and web pages
  • Secure file shares (RMS)
  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites
  • WordPress blogs (including UMSL Blogs)
  • Library databases
  • UMSL Mobile app
  • Panopto videos

Additionally, SSO ID login to web applications on apps.umsl.edu may be unavailable for several minutes due to updates to the login service.
