ITS has received reports of intermittent UMSL web applications being slow or throwing errors.  System administrators are currently investigating the issue.

Description

 

UMSL Mobile App was unavailable due to the internal server error. The issue has been resolved and service is available again.

 UMSL Web/SMTP applications outage

Description

The following UMSL web/fax/smtp applications are experiencing an outage:

  • m.umsl.edu
  • legacy.umsl.edu
  • fax.umsl.edu

Scan to e-mail is affected and some internal smtp applications.  Issue has now been resolved.

Description

Various web applications were unavailable for several minutes due to a database connectivity issue.  The issue has been resolved and services have been restored.

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows servers.

There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Faculty/Staff MyDocuments and Department Shares
  • Student K: drives, including Unix home directories and personal web pages
  • Secure file shares (RMS)
  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites

 Web application errors on apps.umsl.edu

Description

Users accessing applications on apps.umsl.edu reported receiving intermittent error messages between 6:15am and 8:15am this morning.  The affected web server has been temporarily removed from service while technicians troubleshoot the cause.  Access to apps.umsl.edu is now stable again.

In order to address an outstanding issue with SharePoint, it will be necessary to perform unscheduled maintenance.  This will result in brief outages to SharePoint sites, TritonApps applications and users of RMS document encryption.  The following sites may experience longer outages:
