 UMSL Oracle Database Maintenance

Start Time: 2/9/18 5:30 pm - End Time: 2/9/18 8:00 pm

Description

All production UMSL Oracle databases will be down while the latest security patches are applied. Most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 UMSL service outages

Description

We are experiencing an unexpected service outage due to an unresponsive network device.  WWW, web applications and Oracle applications are primarily affected.  ITS is working to resolve the issue.

 coe.umsl.edu sites inaccessible

Description

We have had reports of issues with some coe.umsl.edu sites.  We are working on the issue and expect it to be resolved soon.

Update: Issue now appears to be resolved after service restarts.

 UMSL Oracle Database and Printing Maintenance

Description

All production UMSL Oracle databases will be down while the latest security patches are applied.  Most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

In addition, campus printing and related services (printing package download website, Mobile Print etc.) will be unavailable.

 Connectivity Issues to PeopleSoft Databases

Description

Direct connectivity with PeopleSoft student and HR databases from secondary database systems is down.  It appears MyView is still operational.

Web applications hosted on apps.umsl.edu are affected.

ITS is investigating the cause.

10/5/2017 1:09PM: UMSystem technicians are also looking into the issue.  Updates on their status can be found at https://status.missouri.edu/incidents/mkk80v7kb67d.

10/5/2017 2:25PM:UMSystem networking staff resolved the originating DNS issues and connectivity has been restored.

 Mobile App responds with Internal Server Error

09/25/2017 5:20 pm

The mobile and and mobile web site m.umsl.edu are responding intermittently with an Internal Server error. Administrators are looking into the problem.

 

9/25/2017 6:00 pm

One of the web services was restarted to fix the issue. We will continue to monitor and adjust configurations to avoid these outages in the future.
