 UMSL Oracle Database Maintenance

Start Time: 5/1/19 4:00 am - End Time: 5/1/19 7:00 am

Description

There will be brief/intermittent outages of all UMSL production Oracle databases while maintenance is being performed.  Most web applications running on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance period.

PeopleSoft applications including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 UMSL web application login error – Resolved

Description

UPDATE: Technicians have implemented the fix and are continuing to monitor for issues.

UMSL is experiencing degraded shibboleth authentication with UMSL Web applications. Technicians are aware of the issue and are investigating the outage.

 MyView Upgrade March 22-25

Start Time: 3/22/19 5:00 pm - End Time: 3/25/19 11:59 pm

Description

UMSystem personnel will be updating the behind-the-scenes software that powers MyView.  These changes will help move us to the most current version of MyView.

MyView will be unavailable beginning 5 p.m. on Friday, March 22, while the software is being updated and will be available for use by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26.

During the maintenance, web applications hosted on apps.umsl.edu as well as mygateway.umsl.edu will be unavailable.

Your experience in MyView should be unchanged after the update is complete. Other applications, such as Canvas, will remain accessible during the update process.

 UMSL web application connectivity issues to PeopleSoft

Description

Web applications hosted on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu are experiencing issues connecting to the PeopleSoft student databases hosted at UM.  Technicians are currently investigating.

 UMSL Webapps Issue

Description

ITS is investigating an issue causing web applications hosted at apps.umsl.edu and coe.umsl.edu to have degraded service or be unavailable.  The origin appears to be from one of the database servers.

 UMSL Data Center power outage

Description

The UMSL data center unexpectedly lost power, and all campus-hosted data services are experiencing an interruption. ITS staff is working to restore services.

Update 3:56 pm 2/14/19 – The Technology Support Center telephones are not currently working.  If you would like to report a problem with a computing service or piece of computing equipment, please go to help.umsl.edu and put in a ticket.  Thank you.

Update 8:40 pm 2/14/19 – Many campus applications remain unavailable at this time. ITS expects replacement parts to be delivered on Friday morning, and will continue to work to restore services.
