 TritonPrint (Print to Email) Maintenance

Description

The TritonPrint service allows users to print documents attached to an email addressed to tritonprint@umsl.edu.  This service will be unavailable for scheduled system maintenance.  Other forms of printing on campus will not be affected.

 MobilePrint (Print via email) unavailable

Description

The UMSL TritonPrint service is currently experiencing problems and will be unavailable until further notice.  This is the service where users can send an email to tritonprint@umsl.edu and the email attachments can be printed using UMSL printers.

UMSL Information Technology Services is working on the issue and will update when services are restored.

Update: The issue is now resolved.  Please report any further issues with TritonPrint to the Technology Support Center.

 Windows and Oracle Server Patching

Start Time: 7/26/19 5:30 pm - End Time: 7/26/19 8:30 pm

Description

ITS system administrators will apply critical security updates to Windows servers and Oracle databases.

There will be brief disruptions to:

  • Faculty/Staff MyDocuments and Department Shares
  • Secure file shares (RMS)
  • Print and fax services
  • TritonApps sessions
  • SharePoint sites

Additionally, web applications on apps.umsl.edu, fusion.umsl.edu, and coe.umsl.edu will be unavailable for the duration of the maintenance period.

PeopleSoft applications, including MyView, MyHR, etc. will not be affected.

 Secure Print Queue printing

Description

There is an issue affecting printing to the Secure Print Queue.  This is where users print to the Secure Print Queue printer, which allows them to release the job at any ID Card access printer on campus.  ITS is working on the issue and will update when services are restored.

Update:  The issue affecting Secure Print Queue printing is now resolved.  Users experiencing issues when attempting to release print jobs in the Secure Queue should do the following before contacting the Help Desk:

  • Attempt to send and release the job a second time
  • Reboot the printer

Description

Campus printing services will be unavailable during the outage.  This includes the following:

  • Desktop printing
  • Mobile print (print from email)
  • Xerox Copy/Scan services
  • Student Lab printing

Update: ITS performed the maintenance successfully.  At this time, no issues have been reported.

 UMSL Data Center power outage

Description

The UMSL data center unexpectedly lost power, and all campus-hosted data services are experiencing an interruption. ITS staff is working to restore services.

Update 3:56 pm 2/14/19 – The Technology Support Center telephones are not currently working.  If you would like to report a problem with a computing service or piece of computing equipment, please go to help.umsl.edu and put in a ticket.  Thank you.

Update 8:40 pm 2/14/19 – Many campus applications remain unavailable at this time. ITS expects replacement parts to be delivered on Friday morning, and will continue to work to restore services.
